Dean Angel holds a Krav Maga Blue Belt and is a Certified Level 3 Instructor. Dean teaches Kombat Kettlebells, Level 1, 2 & Level 3 Krav Maga, Power Punch, and Kombat Circuit Training classes. In 2012, Dean completed the annual Tough Mudder race in Pennsylvania.

Paul Benincasa Paul is a certified Level 3 Instructor and teaches Level 1, 2 and Level 3 Krav Maga, as well as Power Punch classes. Paul earned his Blue Belt in 2011. In addition to his Krav Maga training and certifications, Paul earned his 5th kyu in Shinshin Toitsu Akido, and achieved a rank of Green belt in traditional Japanese Jiu-jitsu under Sensei Charles Walsh. By day, Paul is the Billing/Follow up Supervisor for Patient Financial Services at Jamaica Hospital. He is also an artist/illustrator/cartoonist and musician, playing various NY locations with his band, Superfunfacepunch!!!.

Michael Blitz Chief Instructor began his Krav Maga training in 1994 under Rhon Mizrachi (Krav Maga Federation), and also trained at the Krav Maga National Training Center in Los Angeles under U.S. Chief Instructor Darren Levine and (then) Krav Maga Worldwide President John Whitman. Michael completed the Comprehensive (All-Levels) Instructor Certification Program in 2000 under the instruction of Grandmaster Haim Zut, world's highest ranking Krav Maga Instructor, Chief Instructor of the Krav Maga Academy of Israel and Krav Maga Federation, and President of Krav Maga International. In the same year, Michael was named President of the American Academy of Krav Maga Instructor (AAKMI) an served in that capacity for a year. When Grandmaster Haim Zut made his next visit to the U.S. from Israel, he tested Michael for his Brown Belt, which was awarded in 2003. In 2005, Michael received his Krav Maga Black Belt from U.S. Chief Instructor Darren Levine, who also re-certified Michael as a Krav Maga Instructor and awarded him the "Yellow through Black Belt" Instructor Certificate from Krav Maga Worldwide. In addition to over sixteen years of Krav Maga training, with instructors such as Sam Sade, Gabi Noah, and Amir Peretz, Michael has completed more than five hundred hours of instructor-training.

After establishing KMLI in 2001, Michael created the Israeli Self-defense program at the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center in East Hills, NY and in 2003 established Long Island's first youth Krav Maga program at the Torah Academy of Long Island. In February 2005, Dr. Blitz was invited to New Zealand to train New Zealand's Navy Security personnel and ArmourGuard Security personnel (NZ's largest private security company). Dr. Blitz was invited back to New Zealand in July 2005 to train new ArmourGuard officers and to speak on self-defense to various security personnel groups.

In addition to his ongoing Krav Maga training, Dr. Blitz trained for three years in Small-Circle jiu-jitsu, completed two Gracie seminars (NYC) in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Jim Wagner's Ground Survival & Rescue certification-course. Dr. Blitz holds a black belt in jiu-jitsu and an honorary black belt from the Martial Arts Society at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY where he is a Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and (former) Faculty Advisor to the Martial Arts Club. In 2006, Dr. Blitz designed a course on "The Use of Force in Self-Defense" for John Jay College's Department of Physical Education. He also taught for three years at Wallkill Correctional Facility (Wallkill, NY), Fishkill Correctional Facility (Fishkill, NY), and in prison programs at Eastern State (Napanoch), Coxsackie, and Highland Detention Center for Youthful Offenders. While teaching at Fishkill Correctional Facility, Michael was the only civilian permitted to participate in, and complete, a Riot-Response training course sponsored by the New York State Dept. of Corrections.

Dr. Blitz has taught Krav Maga to members of Law Enforcement, military security, Federal Air Marshalls, ATF Agents, NYC Corrections Officers, and civilians throughout Long Island and New York City and besides regular classes at KMLI, teaches many special seminars during the year. In 2012, Dr. Blitz ran a children's Krav Maga summer camp program for the Mid-Island JCC. He holds a Ph.D. and is Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY, where he was department chair for ten years. He is author of fifteen books--including "Jon Stewart: A Biography," "Why Arnold Matters: the Rise of a Cultural Icon," and "Arnold Schwarzenegger: A Biography" (both books on Schwarzenegger co-authored with L. Krasniewicz).

Michael Cohen is a Certified Level 3 Instructor and teaches teaches Level 1, 2 & Level 3 Krav Maga classes. Michael also created and teaches the Kombat Circuit Training class. Born in South Africa, Michael emigrated to Israel and served for three years in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where he received training in armed combat and in Krav Maga. Currently a Krav Maga Blue Belt, he has previously trained in both judo and karate. Professionally, Michael is a Physical Therapist specializing in pediatrics and orthopedics/sports injuries. In Israel, Michael was the official physical therapist for the Israeli athletes at the world famous Maccabiah Games. When he is not training in Krav Maga or providing therapy for others, Michael is a Triathlete, having run in 10 marathons and competed in multiple running and cycling races as well as triathlons.

Fran Faustino, MD holds a Krav Maga Blue Belt and teaches Level 1 and Level 2 Krav Maga classes. Fran has done instructor-training in NY at KMLI and at the National Training Center in Los Angeles. In addtion to his Krav Maga training and certifications, Fran trained for two years in the Philippines in AAK Shotokan karate and holds a Green belt (see http://www.aak-karate.com). Fran has also completed 2 Half-Ironman Distance Races in 2009 and in the summer of 2011 he completed his first Ironman Triathlon at Lake Placid, NY. In 2012, Dr. Faustino completed the annual Tough Mudder race in Pennsylvania. Dr. Faustino is a Family Practice physician with an office in Carle Place, Long Island.

TJ Flynn holds a Krav Maga Blue Belt and is a Certified Level 3 Instructor. TJ teaches Level 1, 2 & Level 3 Krav Maga classes as well as the BLITZ Power-Flex class (which he designed) and Power Punch classes. TJ began his Krav Maga training in Massachussets in 2004, before moving to NY and re-starting his training at KMLI. He has also trained in MMA fighting. TJ works as a professional investigator.

Todd Kettler Todd is a Level 3 instructor and teaches Level 1, 2 and Level 3 Krav Maga, as well as Power Punch classes. In addition to being a Krav Maga Blue Belt, Todd holds a Black belt in Jiu Jitsu, and Green belts in Aiki JiuJitsu, and Kempo. Todd is a Chemistry and Forensic Science teacher at Ward Melville High School.

Tim Marinace is a Certified Level 2 Instructor and teaches Level 1 & Level 2 Krav Maga classes. Tim has also taught Krav Maga for Law Enforcement. A Marine Corps veteran and a Krav Maga Green Belt, Tim is a Police Sergeant and Patrol Supervisor, a former S.W.A.T. team member and police sniper. For the past ten years Sgt. Marinace has been a Police Tactical Trainer, teaching not only local police officers, but also members of police departments as far away as Buenes Aires, Argentina.

Amy Morgenstern teaches Level 1 Krav Maga, Kombat Circuit Training, Kombat Women, Kombat Kidz, and Kickboxing classes for men and women. A native of Florida, where she trained for two years with Yaniv Rosenberg, Amy has also trained in Muay Thai and ju jitsu. In addition, in high school and college, Amy was a nationally ranked junior tennis competitor, playing in a Division 1 NCAA competition. From 2004-2006, Amy attended West Point. Amy continues to teach tennis to kids and is also a commercial artist (and the designer of the BLITZ KRAV MAGA logo!)

Frank Pomara teaches Level 1 and Level 2 Krav Maga, and Kombat Fight Scenarios classes. Frank earned his Blue Belt in 2011. In addition to his Krav Maga training and certifications, Frank trained in Shotokan karate, and then switched to Oyama karate in 1999. He received his first kyu - brown belt w/black stripe in 2002. In 2004, Frank earned his black belt in Oyama Enomichi Karate. Frank is the managing attorney for Mallilo & Grossman, Attorneys-at-Law, in Flushing, NY, specializing in Personal Injury law.

Kevin Reid Kevin is a certified Level 3 instructor and teaches Level 1, 2 and Level 3 Krav Maga at both KMLI's Syosset and Long Beach locations. Kevin earned his Krav Maga Blue Belt in March, 2012. In addition to his Krav Maga training and certifications, Kevin holds a Green belt in Tae Kwon Do. Off the mats, Kevin is a Corporate Trainer, a certified hypnotist, a bass player, and a devoted photographer.
